NEXT generation MYCARE ohio
MEDICAID/MEDICARE WAIVER PROGRAM
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) implemented the Next Generation MyCare program to provide enhanced healthcare
benefits to those who have both Medicaid and Medicare. This program helps you get the care you need all in one plan.
Beginning May 1st, 2026 in Allen, Auglaize, Hancock, Hardin, Mercer, Putnam, and Van Wert counties.

Am I eligible for the program?
Members will be enrolled if they:
-
Have full Medicaid and Medicare parts A, B, and D
-
Are age 21 and older have health insurance that covers both inpatient hospital stays and doctor visits
-
Live in one of the 29 counties where MyCare Ohio was previously available or until the program is available in your county
-
Are not already enrolled in a Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) or a Developmental Disabilities waiver, or have health insurance that covers both inpatient hospital stays and doctor visits

*Buckeye Health Plan is not an option for new members in the Next Generation MyCare program in 2026. Members who had Buckeye Health Plan in the previous MyCare Ohio program and moved to the area may continue to receive care through that plan if they want.

How will I be notified if I am enrolled?

You will get a letter from ODM telling you that you are being enrolled in MyCare Ohio
