Area Agency on Aging 3 is announcing the following job opportunities.   All resumes are kept on file for six months. 

Home Modification Field Manager

 

Responsibilities: Duties will include but are not limited to: recruitment and contracting with appropriate contractors; performing initial on-site housing needs assessment; communicating with contractors regarding job specifications; monitoring on-going and completed jobs for meeting standards and customer satisfaction; assuring that all requirements and regulations related to contracts are met. Prepare written reports on activities as directed.

Qualifications: Must have a minimum of seven years’ experience of residential architectural or construction experience that includes accessible design and construction with ability to complete accurate job specifications for home and vehicle modifications and prepare bids as well as follow up on completion of jobs to confirm specifications were met and are in proper working order. Solid organizational and communication skills necessary to perform planning, coordinating, program administration, training and public speaking. Experience with federal and state housing financing programs and fundraising/grantsmanship, and understanding of options and development issues, preferred. Ability to effectively communicate with the elderly and disabled population and general public, both in person and on the telephone.

OHC Care Manager/Recovery Care Manager

Responsibilities: include but not limited to develops/coordinates/manages care plan for services for all ages. Advocates for services and benefits, conduct family/service provider case conferences, arrange for service delivery and reassess needs and services for care. 

 

Qualifications: RN or LSW required, 1 years prior experience in community health care, general knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and community resources needed. Great communication skills, ability to multi task, meet deadlines, be organized and detail oriented in a fast pace environment and computer experience is a must. Applicant must have the ability to telecommute and  have a valid driver’s license with auto insurance.

Volunteer Positions: Board of Trustees & Advisory Council

The Area Agency on Aging 3 is always on the lookout for members of our governing bodies.

Our advisory council members meet the third Wednesday, every other month at 10:00am in our agency office. They serve to represent lifestyles and cultures of each county we serve and assist us in meeting the needs of this area’s seniors.

The Board of Directors consists of 11 members, 1 from each of our 7 counties and 4 who are considered at-large. Appointments are for 3-year terms. The board directs the business of the agency and represents the employees and individuals we serve.
