WELCOME TO OHIO'S AREA AGENCY ON AGING 3
We are here to answer your questions and find programs and services in our area that are designed to make life easier for you and those you love. It is our privilege to assist seniors, persons with disabilities and their caregivers in our 7 county region.
On March 1, 2014, AAA3 expanded to cover Clark, Darke, Shelby, Logan, Miami, Preble and Champaign counties for the Ohio Home Care Waiver Program.
For over 30 years, the Area Agency on Aging has been a leader in helping those who desire safe, dignified, independent living. Give us a call...we'd be happy to help.
Companion Care Volunteer Program
We are currently seeking volunteers for our new program, the Companion Care Volunteer Program. This is a program for those 60 and older that need assistance with non-personal care related tasks, such as housekeeping, companionship and respite for regular caregivers.
If you have a desire to help people, and make a real difference in the lives of elders in our community, please contact Ann Meiring (419) 879-1373, or Miranda Van Rooyen (419) 879-3861.
Senior Dining Program-
The reapplication month for the program is in July. Applications will be at your local senior center, senior housing, or on our website. If you are on the program currently or on the waiting list, you will receive an application in the mail. Due to limited funding, not everyone will be put on the new program year that starts October 2015. It is not a first come, first serve program and eligibility is not based on income. However, priority will be given to those that are over 75, minority, living alone, low income, and at nutrition risk. You must be 60 to apply. Be sure to follow instructions. If you fill out an application after July you will automatically be placed on a waiting list.
If you have any questions, please call our Community Resource Center at 1-800-653-7723.
